1856 N-2 R1 Italic 5 AU55. A mint state cent that has three small but sharp rim nicks on the obverse. One is located above star 10, another at star 11, and the third under the 6. The only other mark on this cent is a small vertical nick just right of the 6. Lustrous light olive and chocolate with generous amounts of faded mint color in protected areas. MDS, die state d early.
