1739 Admiral Vernon Portobello Betts Medal, McCormick-Goodhart #96 Gold-Plated Copper EF45. Choice frosty bright gold fading to slightly darker coppery brown on a few of the highpoints where the plating has worn off. Excellent eye appeal with just a touch of wear on the highest points. A premium Vernon Betts medal, and the extensive Ford collection did not have a gold plated example of this variety. Weight 254.2 grains, 40.5 millimeters.
