Martin Price contributed greatly to many phases of numismatics. His monumental treatise, The Coinage in the Name of Alexander the Great and Philip Arrhidaeus: A British Museum Catalogue, was published in 1991. The introduction to this study (through p. 83) is a thought-provoking enlightenment of the science of numismatics in and of itself. Price was appointed Keeper in the Department of Coins and Medals at the British Museum. His death in 1995 came all too early.
Estimated Value $650 - 700.
