Tarentum/Taras. 235-228 BC. AR Didrachm (6.45 g). Horseman riding left wearing cloak and raising hand turning to face viewer, in right upper field, pileus. Reverse: Taras seated on dolphin traveling left, turning around raisisng his chlamys and holding trident resting on his shoulder. Vlasto 956; cf. SNG ANS 1256. Delicately toned. Lustrous Superb Extremely Fine.
