"AYER'S SARSAPARILLA" EP-98A, HB-36, S-17, 10¢ Medium "AYER'S", Plain frame. Fr-EP-98A. An extremely attractive case houses this piece, with olive-brown surfaces that are darker in the protected areas on the reverse. The mica is remarkably clear, with only some isolated crazing and a scratch or two just to the left of center. The stamp is above average as well. This is a desirable example of a scarce variety, one of approximately 16 to 20 pieces known according to Fred Reed. Extremely Fine.
Estimated Value $800 - 900.
