"JOSEPH L. BATES FANCY GOODS" EP-6A, HB-49, S-26, 1¢ "FANCY GOODS" as one word. Fr-EP-6A. This extremely attractive case displays wonderful brightness and no mentionable flaws. The mica displays some crazing on the right side and a little less so on the left, and the stamp is almost perfectly centered and retains good color. This is the scarcer of the two 1¢ Bates varieties. Extremely Fine.
