1793 S-8 R3 Wreath Type with Vine & Bars Edge AG3. Several points sharper but there are a few patches of deep pitting on both sides, the largest of which is in the field off the chin. Most of the planchet is reasonably smooth, but the pitting really catches your eye. Traces of shallow greenish verdigris are nestled into a few of the protected areas on the obverse. No significant contact marks. Slightly glossy chocolate brown with darker olive toning in protected areas. The date is visible except for the bottom of the 1, which is obliterated by one of the corrosion patches, and the legends are nearly complete. MDS with swelling in the center of the reverse.
