ASTP, 1975, "DKS" Personalized ASTP Crew Patch (5") This heavily embroidered A-B Emblem patch has a rectangular sticker attached to the reverse that reads: "Made in USA by A-B Emblem Corp., Weaverville, NC". This patch was made specifically for Deke Slayton with his initials incorporated, in gold, into the design at the bottom of the design. A limited number of similar matches were made for each of the American crew members on the flight. The patch is in its original clear plastic envelope as originally received by Slayton. These patches originaly auctioned for about $1200 back in 2003. Those in our July sale realized over $500 each. Rare and desireable.
