Lot 403

Gemini Program, c1960s, NASA Gemini Launch Vehicle Model (34x3", about 20 lbs) This striking, four-part, machined aluminum NASA painted model comes with a round, 7" metal base that is without any ID plate. This would appear to be an unusually early NASA model. Included is a fitted, blue-painted, felt-lined, hinged wooden case (12x9x24", about 15lbs alone), again without any ID markings. The model and case are in virtually pristine condition - almost unheard of in such an early model.
This model is from the estate of James Jacobs, one of the five founders of the National Aviation Hall of Fame in Dayton, Ohio. An important find and one that is virtually unique on today's market.
Estimated Value $7,500 - 10,000,
Ex. The James Jacobs Family collection,

Realized $9,300
