1799 S-189 R2 Fair-2. A few points sharper but dull from a covering of uniform very fine granularity that dulls the surfaces. No verdigris, and the only notable mark is a rim bruise left of the hair ribbon. Slightly glossy dark steel and olive brown with very faint hairline scratches hidden in the patina. The date is weak but readable. LIBERTY and nearly all of the legends remain easily readable. Far from perfect, but it's a 1799 cent.
