1795 S-78 R1 Plain Edge G6. Double Struck with Rotation. A few points sharper with microscopic roughness covering the fields and protected areas plus a few hairline scratches, mostly on the reverse. No verdigris and the scratches blend into the natural toning. The only other defects are a few light rim bruises, strongest at the top of the cap. Rather glossy steel brown and light chocolate with dark olive brown toning in the protected areas. Double struck with a 20-degree rotation between the impressions. Strong evidence of the two strikes shows at the bust and cap. The top of an extra "5" is visible is clearly impressed on the bust tip of the dominant strike. A neat mint error. Weight 173.3 grains.
