Lot 505

1805 C-3 R4 Small 5 with Stems G5. Slightly sharper but the planchet is very delicately bent on the left side. There is a dull contact mark just left of the date, a line of thin nicks from the upper tip of the hair ribbon to the L in LIBERTY, a pair of dull rim nicks at TED in UNITED, and a couple small digs in the wreath under CA in AMERICA. Mostly glossy olive brown and steel. The date is strong and the legends are complete, although there is the usual weakness at HA and CE in HALF CENT. MDS, Manley state 2.0. The bulge in the field right of the portrait is clear.
Estimated Value $350-UP.
Ex Robison collection, Stack's 12/2/1982:16.

Realized $633
