Calabria, Taras, c. 302-272 BC. AR Didrachm (or Nomos; 7.86 g). Horseman about to dismount from galloping steed, holding round shield and spear. Reverse: Taras holding grain, riding left on dolphin. SNG ANS 1077-1078; Vlasto 702-703. Beautifully centered and boldly struck. Superb Extremely Fine.
