Goldberg Coins and Collectibles

Sale 65

Lot 1113

1919-D. NGC graded MS-65 CAC Approved. The head is almost full. A gorgeous example with a touch of light golden toning. In an old holder. One of the scarcer dates from this very popular series and a unforgettable coin for the specialist. The surfaces are a delight to behold, with nice hues over luster. As to the strike, this one is quite strong, with much head detail present, quite strong for this date and Denver Mint. It is apparent that this coin was set aside long ago and numismatically cherished from that time forward. Such quality is never easily available, and can seldom be duplicated without dedicated searching. An refreshing jewel for the specialist who appreciates great surfaces, luster, strike and the 1919-D pedigree. Pop 26.
Estimated Value $2,000 - 2,200.

Realized $3,220
