Lot 1102

1917-D. Type 2. NGC graded MS-66 CAC Approved. Lovely blue and golden toning around the borders. In an old holder. The D-mint 1917 Type Two quarter sells for approximately twice as much as its P-mint counterpart, yet it is three to five times scarcer, especially when full head. This is an impressively struck coin MS66 that has a pronounced frosty finish on both obverse and reverse. The centers are generally free from color while the peripheries are toned as described. An exceptionally good value in the Type Two Full Head category. Notice the low population:
Estimated Value $2,800 - 3,200.

Realized $6,038
