Sterling Silver Concho Belt. Made by Navajo artisan Leonard Malloney, from the area north of Gallup, New Mexico. There are 6 round conchos and 6 "butterfly" or bow-shaped pieces. Hand-chiseled design on each concho (meaning "shell shape") has a geometric design, in the Navajo tradition. Total weight is 1 pound, 7 ounces. Each concho is 3" in diameter, and each bow-shaped piece is 3" by 2". Buckle is hallmarked "Sterling" and "LM". Belt length can range from 29 to 45 inches. This piece is new.
