Oberstein, Chuck. Wall Street Clown. Original painting, oil on canvas, 1981. Size: 16 in. height, 11½ in. width. Framed: 18 x 25¾ in. Excellent condition. One sparkling tear falls from the eye of the clown as he reads bad news in the Wall Street Journal, including the news that the Dingaling Sisters Circus has been closed by the stockholders.

(1935-2002) American painter, best known for clown paintings. Born in East Los Angeles, he painted in Europe for years. His works have been featured in many one-man shows in the U.S. and abroad and many prints, lithographs, and limited-edition plates have been made from his paintings.
