Stengel, Casey (1890-1975) American League outfielder and manager, primarily associated with the New York Yankees and the New York Mets. He was the only person to manage a team to five consecutive World Series championships (NY Yankees, 1949-1953). He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1966. Typed Letter Signed in blue ink, as manager of the Yankees, on New York Yankees letterhead, May 26, 1959. Stengel thanks an Ohio minister for his interest in the Yankees. Fine condition.
