Player's Replica 2004 Boston Red Sox World Series Trophy. Engraved "World Series Champions / Boston Red Sox / 2004." The awardee's name has been removed from below "2004." Approximately 11¾ inches in height, including base, which is 7¼ inches in diameter. The trophy contains flags representing each team in the American and National Leagues. Appears to be silver-plated, except for the black base and the two press pins which are set on the base of the trophy for the two teams participating in the 2004 World Series: the Boston Red Sox and the St. Louis Cardinals. A huge ring set on the base holds a baseball in the bottom and a crown on top. Some tarnishing to band around the base and to the ring, otherwise in fine condition. Team players and employees were authorized to buy replicas of the larger team trophy.
