Singers and Singing Groups. Twenty items, most inscribed and all signed, including 14 photos signed by Peggy Lee (2), Nancy Wilson, Lou Rawls, Liza Minnelli, The Ink Spots, The Temptations, Perry Como, The Ames Brothers, George Thorogood, Huey Lewis, Eddie Fisher (photo from a paintng), Bobby Vee, and Petula Clark, who also wrote a long note to Danny, quoting lyrics from "Downtown." Six of the photos are inscribed to Danny, a young man suffering from a brain tumor (he died in 2002). Additionally, printed lyrics of "London Calling" signed by The Clash's Mick Jones; the lyrics of "Celebration" signed by several members of Kool & the Gang (Kool, Khalis, and Ellis are legible); two handwritten letters from Pete Seeger (on opposite sides of the same card) with a handdrawn banjo; a handwritten letter to Danny from French singer Sacha Distel, including a "Scoubidou"; and a letter and doodle to Danny from Dick Clark. Very fine condition overall.
