Lennon, John - Platinum Record For Imagine. Hologram RIAA (Record Industry of America) certified sales award: a platinum record which was presented to John Lennon to commemorate the sale of over a million copies of his Imagine - The Motion Picture album. The plaque reads: "Presented to John Lennon to Commemorate the Sale of More Than 1,000,000 Copies of the Capitol / EMI Album & Cassette 'Imagine'." This album was released in the U.S. on October 4, 1988 and in the U.K. on October 10, 1988. Elegantly framed to 21 x 17 in. with a platinum LP and cassette. Although the RIAA manufactures several of these awards (for managers, band members, industry personnel, etc.) only one is actually presented to the artist.
