Jackson, Michael & The Jacksons (August 29, 1958-June 25, 2009) The King of Pop. A superb collection of over 190 Jackson family photographs, most from the mid 1970s through about 1982, but a few pre 1975. Contained in two albums which belonged to April Brooks, a young woman who was a family friend. On the front inside cover of each album is a giant Michael Jackson signature. One says "Love Michael Jackson" and the other says "Love always To April Michael Jackson 82." In addition to Michael, the first inside cover also has inscriptions to April and signatures of Janet Jackson ("Best Wishes Love Always Janet Jackson"), Tito, Marlon, Randy, Jackie, and La Toya Jackson. Jackie's inscription and signature are smeared. Michael's huge inscription and signature, which are 8¼ in. across, have a little feathering in the ink, but are otherwise fine, as are the others. There are 69 photos in this album: 61 are 8 x 10 in. and 8 are 4½ x 7 in. Michael is in the majority of the photos, some alone, some with The Jacksons, with his dad Joe, with various family members (several with Janet), with Diana Ross and other celebrities, performing, etc. Michael Jackson signed vertically along his white trousers in one of the photos; Janet Jackson signed four of the photos in this album; and La Toya signed one. On the back inside cover, Katherine Jackson wrote a long inscription dated 3/25/82 to "Dear April," in part, "…Stay as nice as you are & you will always have God's blessing. Love you always…" One of the 8 x 10 in. photos shows April Brooks, the young lady to whom these albums belonged, at The Jacksons' star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (at 1500 Vine Street).

The inside cover of the second album has a very large inscription and signature, "Love always To April Michael Jackson 82." Jermaine Jackson, Carol Jackson (Marlon's wife), Tito Jackson, and Dee-dee Jackson (Tito's wife) also signed the inside cover. This album contains over 120 snapshots, including some polaroids; many are of Michael and/or The Jacksons performing; some show the Jackson home and pool being built; some show family members in a baseball game; some show Janet on "Good Times" and one is of Janet and James De Barge. La Toya signed one snapshot, Joe Jackson signed the backs of two; one is signed on the back by Rebbie, the eldest Jackson sister, one by Jermaine, one by Dee-dee & boys, and one by Carol.

A third album holds five postcards written by Katherine Jackson to April Brooks, two from Africa and one from Germany in 1982. In 1984, Katherine sends postcards from Japan (10/30/84) where "Janet…is doing some t.v. shows and a commercial" and from Russia (6/17/84) beginning "Janet and I landed in Russia yesterday…." This album also contains ticket stubs for Prince shows from 1985 and 1988 and 35 snapshots of Prince, whom April also obviously liked.

These albums should be examined in person to be fully appreciated.
Estimated Value $5,000 - 10,000.
