Gielgud, John (1904-2000) Engish actor, director, producer. Autograph inscription and signature, "John Gielgud with every good wish and kind thought / October 1937," with an autograph quotation from Richard the Second, " I count myself in nothing else so happy / As in a soul, remembering my good friends…." Fine. Matted with an image of Gielgud in costume and framed to an overall size of 17¾ x 11 inches. Attached to the verso is an engraved Christmas card with greetings from "all your friends at ABC" and the date "1976" penned in red ink.
