Lot 444

Model US 1841 Percussion "Mississippi" Rifle. Made by Robbins Kendal & Lawrence, Windsor, Vermont, 1847. Overall length: 48 5/8". Barrel: length: 33". Original 54 caliber. PATCH BOX with replacement nipple inside. Left side of stock with two cartouches. Butt plate marked "US". Barrel with signs of moderate to heavy cleaning near rear of barrel and somewhat less with remaining portion of barrell. Stock in good condition; small loss ½" rear of lock and ¾" rear of hammer. Brass in very good condition. Ramrod appears to be original. Small losses of stock near front and rear of barrel band.
