Flintlock Brass-barrelled Blunderbuss, 1785-1800. Overall length: 29¾". Two-stage barrell, octagon and round, stamped with British proof marks; length: 14½". Flaired muzzle to approximately 1¼". Perforated side plate with ¾" indentation, possibly from a bullet. Brass buttplate and trigger guard with ornamention. Small repairs to trigger guard. Unmarked lock plate, possibly American. Crack in fore-end of stock needs regluing. Brass tipped ramrod (?). A very pretty brass-barrelled blunderbuss.
