Edison, Thomas Alva (1847-1931) Inventor of the phonograph (1877), the carbon- filament light bulb (1879) and motion picture equipment. Altogether he held patents for over 1000 inventions. A beautiful (as usual) signature on a 2 x 3 in. card. Signed in pencil. Minor soiling to card, else Fine. With an envelope from "Laboratory of Thomas A. Edison…." postmarked 1921, Orange, N.J.
