Schulz, Charles (1922-2000) American cartoonist whose popular and influencial comic strip, Peanuts, first appeared on October 2, 1950 and ran almost 50 years; the last original strip appeared February 13, 2000, just hours after Schulz' death. Huge original grease pencil or crayon drawing of Snoopy signed "Charles Schulz," 33 x 27 inches. Snoopy is pictured lying happily on top of his doghouse. Schulz' signature, which is signed with "Charles" above "Schulz," is 16 inches across and 6 inches high. Drawing is simply matted and framed to 39 x 32 inches.

This original drawing was consigned by two sisters who accompanied their late parents on a cruise (they think it was in 1969) on the Princess Italia. Charles Schulz was on the ship and for one of the cruise's events--a charity auction-- he hand-drew and signed this enormous Snoopy, which was then auctioned off. Their parents were the happy winners.
Estimated Value $2,500 - 3,500.

Realized $5,900
