Rickenbacker, Edward V (1890-1973) World War I flying ace, race car driver, and president of Eastern Air Lines. Three items signed "Capt. Eddie Rickenbacker": two First Day Covers, one honoring the U.S. Air Force Academy and also signed by Maj. Gen. W.S. Stone, Supt USAF Academy; and one honoring the 50th anniversary of powered flight and also signed by Gen. Curtis LeMay and another USAF general (name illegible). Also a 1941 TLS as president of Eastern Air Lines, thanking Mr. Pitt for his newspaper. All fine.
