Harrison, Mary Lord (1858-1958) Second wife of President Benjamin Harrison. Autograph Letter Signed twice, 4 pages, 6½ x 5¾ in., New York, Aug. 10, 1940. To Theodore K. Pitt. The first two pages congratulate him on his newspaper and are signed. The second two pages, also signed, express a sentiment about being a good citizen and her opposition to a third term for a President; FDR is not named but she does state that Wendel Willkie is "a fine man--and I believe will give a great Administration. I am voting for him…." Accompanied by a card engraved "Mrs. Benjamin Harrison" which is signed "Mary Lord Harrison 1914" on the verso.
