GT-2, 1965, FLOWN Heatshield (1.5x.75") The Gemini 2 flight was an suborbital unmanned mission intended as a test of the Gemini space and its heatshield. This piece of flown heatshield is in a small plastic container surrounded with foam. There is a handwritten piece of tape on the reverse that reads: "Core sample of Gemini 2 satellite after second flight. A fascinating piece of space history that appears to be genuine in all respects. Rarely seen.
