MA-7, 1962, FLOWN "Mercury Capsule" Lapel Pin. This capsule lapel pin has a screw back and is in excellent condition for its age. A Nov 24, 1962 typed letter to the consignor on NASA letterhead signed "Scott" reads, in part: "Enclosed is the capsule lapel pin Joe gave me all wrapped up on the morning of my flight. I am sorry it has been (so) long finding its way back to you. It flew with me, as the corrosion will attend and I hope you will accept it back as a token of my deep gratitude for all you did for me while we were getting ready…." An important piece of classic memorabilia that may well be unique.
