1793 Chain America Basel State-1. Slightly sharper but moderately corroded. There are traces of very shallow verdigris on both sides and fine scratches are blended into the patina. The date is gone and only traces of the legend remain visible, and all of those are weak. The portrait is weak but still visible. The strongest elements remaining are the chain and ONE CENT. There is enough of the design visible to determine this is either S-2 or S-3 die variety. Slightly glossy dark olive with lighter steel brown highpoints.
