1837 Half Cent Token Low-49, Rulau HT-73 EF40. Glossy medium brown and light chocolate blending to olive in protected areas. The only mark is a tiny, barely visible rim bruise right of the date. These tokens were the only half cent denominated pieces issued in the Hard Times Tokens series. They are commonly collected as part of the Federal half cent series and are included among the half cents in the "Redbook." Removed from an NGC slab graded AU53 (NGC label included, and it shows the Rulau attribution).
