Goldberg Coins and Collectibles

Sale 63

Lot 1050

1902. PCGS graded Proof 64 PQ. Light gold toning. Only 777 pieces struck. Impressive in terms of surface quality, both sides are all-brilliant rather than frosted on the devices and other than for the veil of golden color, virtually tone-free. The devices were struck smack on the dot at the required force by the dies, thereby leaving all design elements plain and clear-cut. Not even an iota of weakness is found. The numerical grade seems to be conservatively assigned. Pop 80; 40 finer (PCGS # 7337) .
Estimated Value $2,500 - 2,700.

Realized $3,450
