1844 N-3 R2 NGC graded XF details, edge damage. Glossy light to medium chocolate brown. The surfaces are smooth and attractive except for a thin planchet lamination or struck-through line under star 4 and numerous thin cuts confined to the edge. The mark under star 4 catches your eye but the edge marks are easy to miss. Struck 15% off center to K-7 leaving the bottom third of the date off the planchet. An impressive mint error. Our grade is VF20+ sharpness net F15. The 15% off center strike is noted on the NGC label.
