Lot 971

1834 N-1 R1 Small 8 & Large Stars. PCGS graded MS-63 Brown. Very attractive lustrous light chocolate brown. Great eye appeal. The only marks are a small splash of reddish brown toning just left of star 12, a faint hairline scratch from star 2 to the neck, and a speck of dark crud at the leaf tip under the I in UNITED. M-LDS. There is crumbling at star 4 and the repunching inside the C in AMERICA is faint, nearly gone. A fine double profile (from die bounce), shows on the lips, chin, neck, and most of LIBERTY. Our grade is AU58+, close to mint state. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1 with 3 finer (2 in 64, 1 in 65).
Estimated Value $400-UP.
