1800/79 S-194 R3 Overdate 80 over 79 with Style II Hair VF25. Sharpness VF30 or slightly better but there is a small spot of shallow verdigris in the drapery above the last digit of the date. In addition, microscopic traces of very fine verdigris are dusted into some of the protected areas on the reverse. No contact marks or other defects. Glossy chocolate and olive brown mixed with a bit of reddish chocolate toning on both sides. Nice eye appeal in spite of the minor imperfections. LDS, Breen state VII. A series of cud breaks and fine die cracks are present at the bottom of the reverse. The overdate feature is obvious.
