Lot 828
1798/7 S-152 R2 Overdate Large 8 over 7 VG8. Slightly sharper with a half dozen fine, old scratches on the portrait and another from the second S in STATES down to the O in ONE. No corrosion or verdigris. Mostly glossy olive brown with lighter chocolate toning on the devices. MDS with a faint wave in the field under the ribbon. The date is bold and the overdate is obvious.
