Lot 801
1796 S-103 R4+ Draped Bust with LIHERTY Error G6. A few points sharper but covered with fine granularity on all but the highpoints, which are smooth. No verdigris, and the only mark is a faint "X" scratched on the portrait, and this is centered in the hair left of the throat. Dark steel and olive brown with glossy chocolate toning on the highpoints. The date is easily readable although the bottom is fading into the rim below, and the legends are clear. The LIHERTY error is obvious.
