Lot 792
1796 S-89 R3 Liberty Cap VG10. Five points sharper but a bit dull from uniform extremely fine granularity under a slightly glossy dark steel and olive patina. There are traces of light greenish verdigris dusted into some of the protected areas. The only contact marks are fine hairline scratches on the portrait and at the bottom of the reverse, all blended perfectly into the toning. The date and legends are complete and strong.
