1853 N-32 R5- AU58. Frosty light to medium steel brown with hints of bluish steel overtone. The fields are satiny and very attractive, just a hint of rub on the highest points from mint state. The only defects are a spot of darker olive toning under the 8 and an even fainter one under star 13, plus a barely visible rim bruise at the F in OF. M-LDS, die state b late. The die line from the stem tip to the adjacent A is dull and barely visible. There is clear strike doubling on ONE CENT and the right side of the reverse (from die bounce). Tied for CC#3 in the Grellman census. Removed from a PCGS slab graded MS64BN (PCGS label included). DWH #2268.
