1853 N-28 R4 Repunched 1 MS60. Lustrous medium steel brown with delicate overtones of bluish steel and peeps of faded mint red on the reverse. There is a small spot of darker steel toning over star 11 and a thin struck-through line between stars 4 & 5. LDS, die state c. All the die lines are gone, the fields are heavily flowlined, and the top of the 8 is weak and blurry. Tied for CC#8 in the Grellman census. Removed from an NGC slab graded MS65BN (NGC label included). DWH #2340.
