General Balbo led a mass formation of twenty-five flying boats to Chicagos Worlds Fair 1933, then on to New York and back to Rome. Obverse: Stylized winged female head left, CROCIERA AEREA DEL DECENNALE, ROMA-CHICAGO NEW YORK ROMA, around; Reverse: Buildings, Polar Bear, airplanes, etc. around, REDIT ITALIA PER AETHERA MVSSOLINE DVCE BALBO DVCTORE, in five lines at center, MCMXXXIII.IX. below.
