1850 N-23 R2 MS63. Lustrous steel brown and chocolate with delicate overtones of bluish steel. There are traces of mint red on the obverse and a third of the original mint red remaining on the reverse. The surfaces are very attractive, covered with satiny mint luster. The only mark is a very tiny, faint nick in the field right of star 4. LDS, die state b, with a dull die line connecting the tops of the O & F in OF. Tied for CC#4 in the Grellman census. DWH #1923.
