1849 N-27 R4+ AU55. Lustrous light bluish steel brown and chocolate. The obverse fields are satiny while the reverse fields are smooth and slightly more reflective. Just a touch of friction on the highpoints and a few trivial microscopic marks. These include a tiny diagonal nick on the cheek left of the earlobe and another on the chin plus a tiny pinscratch over star 4. MDS, die state b, with a shallow but clear spike hanging down from the dentils right of star 9. Tied for CC#2. Removed from an NGC slab graded MS62BN (NGC label included, and it shows the attribution and Reiver provenance). DWH #2998.
