1849 N-22 R1 MS63. Choice glossy chocolate and darker steel brown with hints of underlying very faded mint color on the reverse. The only defects are a small spot of darker chocolate toning over star 1 and another in the dentils above star 10, neither at all distracting. Sharply struck MDS, die state c early. The die lines from the inner and main curls are gone. This is Newcomb's #6. Unbroken satiny luster and excellent eye appeal. Removed from an NGC slab graded MS65BN (NGC label included). DWH #2261.
