Kingdom of Thrace. Lysimachos, 323-281 BC. Gold Stater (8.45 g) minted at Byzantion in Thrace, c. 220-205 BC. Diademed head right of the deified Alexander the Great wearing the horn of Ammon above ear. Reverse: Athena Nikephoros enthroned left, holding Nike in her extended right hand, resting left elbow on shield with aegis; in left field, mintmark. Seyrig (Essays Robinson) plate 23, 4. Two small marks on edge at 5 o'clock. Lustrous; Extremely Fine.
