Lot 2654

1882, $20 National Bank Note. The First NB, Fullerton, CA. PCGS Apparent Fine 15. Fr-555. . KL-1278. This rare note is the only known 1882 series Date Back example of any denomination from any Orange County Bank, and is one of just seven reported Second Charter notes of any design type from the county. Despite receiving an "Apparent" grade from PCGS Currency for some trivial repairs near the center that affect nothing, it is a pleasing example overall and stands alone on rarity. When last sold as part of the Horwedel collection in 2004, it brought a hair over $6,000. Expect no less when this piece crosses the block today.
Estimated Value $4,000 - 6,000.
The William Pannier Estate.

Realized $3,795
