1847 N-7 R2+ VF35. Five points sharper but lightly cleaned and retoned steel brown and chocolate with steel toning on the highpoints and very faded artificial red remaining in protected areas. There are a few tiny ticks scattered about both sides, none notable, and a splash of dark olive toning on the rim over the E in AMERICA. M-LDS, die state b, with a strong rim cud break at star 1. Tied for CC#3 of about two dozen known with the single rim cud. Removed from an NCS slab graded AU details improperly cleaned (NCS label included, and it shows the attribution and Reiver provenance). DWH #2979.
