DiMaggio, Joe - Signed Baseball. Official Rawlings American League baseball signed by Hall of Fame New York Yankee outfielder Joe DiMaggio. This ball is in excellent to unused condition with a slight 3/4" smudge on its upper right side. It is encased in a solid cherry-wood case where it sits on the bottom of a carved bat handle. The front of the case has a brass tag inscribed with Mr. DiMaggio's name. The ball is protected by a glass dome that fits directly over and into to the wood base. Case including dome measures 8 3/4" tall. Accompanied with a Certificate of Authenticity from B&J Collectables, Lakewood, New Jersey, September 29, 1997. With a photo of Joe DiMaggio signing balls, of which this was one.
